Our LONG Mushroom Log (approx 35" x 5"/42'x2') is ready to go....all you have to do is....relax and wait! Your log should "flush" (begin fruiting) in the following year, maybe the year after, who knows... and produce 3-5 flushes a year for 6-9 years, providing you a steady and generous supply of fresh, organic, edible mushrooms. Choose Oyster, Shiitake, Lions Mane, or Chicken of the Woods mushrooms for food, and Reishi, for tea. Keep your logs indoors or outside in NO DIRECT SUN, and water as needed. Overnight soak once a month or 1+" rain .
The monthly soak will encourage or "force" your log to "flush" if it is ready, and keeps the log hydrated. simply submerge in cold water (simulating spring-like conditions) overnight, and return to its place next day....and wait. Your log won't start flushing until your mycellium is ready. You may also spray or soak your log briefly if your log seems dry., but soak works best.
